The PDGA Europe Women's Committee, as a facilitator to coordinate the best initiatives in favor of women's disc golf in our continent, is collaborating with the Nordic Female Open in Norway 🇳🇴. This is what its head, Caroline Selnes, tells us about their work philosophy:
“The Nordic Female Open is more than just a tournament; it’s a movement dedicated to create an inclusive and empowering environment for women in disc golf. Originating from a collaborative effort among Norwegian clubs, our mission is to provide a platform where women can challenge themselves, showcase their skills, and experience the sport in a supportive community. By offering multiple divisions tailored to various skill levels, we ensure that every participant, from newcomers to seasoned players, feels welcomed and valued. 💜
Our commitment extends beyond the fairways. We integrate clinics led by experienced female players, social events to foster connections, and initiatives aimed at increasing female representation in all facets of the sport, including leadership and organization. Through these efforts, the Nordic Female Open strives to inspire more women to pick up a disc, join local clubs, and take on active roles within the disc golf community”.
