Have you ever won a tournament? It's a great feeling, right?
Now imagine winning a Disc Golf Pro Tour event. For the majority of disc golfers around the world, it's nearly impossible, and for most tour players, it would be not only an incredible accomplishment, but a memory to cherish for a long time.
Then imagine winning another one. And another. In fact, imagine winning not only five separate DGPT events, but five consecutive ones!
This feat is as remarkable as it is rare, but as we look back on the 2024 season, we are still in awe of Silva Saarinen's incredible winning streak. As spring gave way to summer, Silva caught fire and during the month of June she made a clean sweep, bringing home the DGPT Europe trophies at the Norway Open, Heinola Open, Turku Open, Ale Open and Swedish Open. Let's hope she got herself a bigger trophy case!
